
The Philadelphia Police Department has arrest suspect Christian Morgan who was wanted for multiple robberies in East Oak Lane.
On November 23, 2014, 35th District Officers responded to a radio call for a robbery at a 7-Eleven located at 150 East Champlost Avenue. When police arrived they met with the complainant who stated that at 6:00 am, an unknown black male entered through the front door. Once inside the suspect walked towards the counter and immediately removed a large machete style knife from his pants. When the employee observed the machete, the employee fled from the store. The defendant then chased the complainant into the parking where the suspect then fled.
A short time later the suspect was stopped for investigation on the 500 block of Chehenham Avenue by 35th District Officers and was identified as the suspect in this robbery.
During a further investigation, Christian Morgan was identified as the suspect in a robbery that took place Sunday, October 19, 2014, at 6:03 am, where an unknown male entered a 7-Eleven located at 6771 North 5th Street armed with a machete. Once inside the suspect went behind the counter demanding the employee to open the cash registers. After taking an undetermined amount of money from the cash registers and placing it into a white bag, the suspect fled on foot and was last seen walking north on 5th Street then west on Cheltenham Avenue.
Christian Morgan is 23 years-of-age and is from the 72XX block of Oak Avenue in Elkins Park, Pa. Morgan is charged with multiple robberies and related offenses.
