Suspect Christian Morgan Arrested for Multiple Robberies in the 35th District

The Philadelphia Police Department has arrest suspect Christian Morgan who was wanted for multiple robberies in East Oak Lane.

On November 23, 2014, 35th District Officers responded to a radio call for a robbery at a 7-Eleven located at 150 East Champlost Avenue. When police arrived they met with the complainant who stated that at 6:00 am, an unknown black male entered through the front door. Once inside the suspect walked towards the counter and immediately removed a large machete style knife from his pants. When the employee observed the machete, the employee fled from the store. The defendant then chased the complainant into the parking where the suspect then fled.

A short time later the suspect was stopped for investigation on the 500 block of Chehenham Avenue by 35th District Officers and was identified as the suspect in this robbery.

During a further investigation, Christian Morgan was identified as the suspect in a robbery that took place Sunday, October 19, 2014, at 6:03 am, where an unknown male entered a 7-Eleven located at 6771 North 5th Street armed with a machete. Once inside the suspect went behind the counter demanding the employee to open the cash registers. After taking an undetermined amount of money from the cash registers and placing it into a white bag, the suspect fled on foot and was last seen walking north on 5th Street then west on Cheltenham Avenue.

Christian Morgan is 23 years-of-age and is from the 72XX block of Oak Avenue in Elkins Park, Pa. Morgan is charged with multiple robberies and related offenses.

On Friday, November 21, 2014, at approximately 3:00 PM, the complainant, Herbert Lacy 38 year old male was last seen at this residence on the 2300 block of N Cleveland Street. Herbert suffers from seizures and requires medication.

Herbert is 5’9″, 160 lbs, with a medium build, dark complexion, brown eyes, and black hair; last seen wearing blue jeans, black sneakers and a gray hooded sweatshirt.

Suspect Gary Grant Arrested for Robbery in the 17th District

The Philadelphia Police Department would like thank the media and the public for helping us arrest suspect Gary Grant for a robbery in Rittenhouse.

Incident:

On October 16, 2014, at 7:18 pm, an unknown male entered the Omega Pizza Store located at 2145 South Street and approached an employee, a 44 year-old male who was behind the counter. Once at the counter the suspect pulled a handgun pointing it at the employee while handing him a small black bag demanding the money from the register. After the employee gave the suspect an undetermined amount of money he fled the store and was last seen running west on the 2200 block of South Street.

On November 9, 2014, a University of Pennsylvania Police Officer interrupted a robbery at Colonial Pizza located at 400 S 43rd Street where Gary Grant was apprehended by this officer. After a further investigation of Grant, he was identified as the suspect in the following four robberies.

  1. BP Gas Station 6600 Essington Avenue September 17, 2104
  2. 7-Eleven 1048 North Delaware Avenue September 24, 2014
  3. Omega Pizza 2145 South Street October 16, 2014

Gary Grant is 48 years-of-age and is from the 2XX block of Moore Street located in Darby, Pa. Grant was arrested on November 19, 2014, and is charged with five (5) robberies and related offenses.

Suspect Christopher Keiter Arrested for Impersonating a Police Officer in the 39th District

On November 24, 2014, and November 25, 2014, the victim was approached by the above male while on the 3100 block of North Broad Street, who identified himself as a Philadelphia Police Officer. Each time the victim was handcuffed while inside a corner store. The above took money from the victim and stated that it was being kept as evidence. If the victim wanted the money returned, he was advised to go to the 7th floor of City Hall. At the time of his arrest the below photographed items were recovered. Defendant Christopher Keiter has three (3) additional arrests which include two (2) for impersonation a police officer and one (1) for impersonating a fireman.

Christopher Keiter is 28 years-of-age and is from the 7XX block of St. Luke Street. Keiter is charged with Robbery, impersonation of a police officer, and false imprisonment.

Mongtomery a 21 year-old male, was reported missing after last being seen at Kildare ’s Pub located at 4417 Main Street, at 1:45 am, on November 27, 2014, and has not been seen since. Shane is a white male, 21 years-of-age, 5’11”, 130lbs, short brown hair, green eyes, and was last seen wearing a gray colored buttoned down shirt, blue jeans, gray colored hooded sweatshirt, and black sneakers. Shane also has a tattoo of a Celtic cross on his shoulder blade.

John suffers from Schizophrenia and is in need of medication. John is described as 5’2, 212 lbs, balding, wearing a black hooded jacket, black pants and brown shoes. On Friday, November 28, 2014, at approximately 9:30 AM, the complainant, Kalis Adams 14 years old was last seen at his residence on the 6200 block of Carpenter Street. Kalis is autistic and suffers from ADHD.

Kalis is known to frequent the YMCA located on the 5100 block of Chestnut Street.

Kalis is 4’10″, 93lbs, with a thin build, brown eyes, dark brown complexion, and black short hair, he was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, blue sweatpants, and blue / black Nike sneakers.

On Thursday, November 27, 2014, at approximately 4:00 PM, the complainant, Olga Trewick 66 years old was last seen at her residence on the 6600 block of Guyer Avenue. Olga suffers from dementia and requires medication. Olga is known to frequent the area of 62nd Street and Woodland Avenue as well as the area of 65th and Dicks Streets.

Olga is 5’5″, 180 lbs, with a medium build, brown eyes, medium complexion, and short black hair, she was last seen wearing a light blue shirt, light blue pants and a gray / black hat.

Suspect Francis Mears Arrested for Robbery in the 17th District

The Philadelphia Police Department would like to thank the media and the public for helping us identify and arrest suspect Francis Mears who has been identified as the suspect for a robbery in Southwest Center City.

On Saturday November 22, 2014, at 6:45 am, an employee, a 27 year-old male, of Dunkin Donuts located at 1551 Washington Avenue was approached by an unknown black male while he was working behind the counter and asked if he could speak with him. When the complainant walked from behind the counter and was speaking to the suspect he lifted his shirt showing the employee a handgun in his waist band demanding money. After the employee gave the suspect an unknown amount of money, he fled the store in an unknown direction.

On November 29, 2014, at 1:20 pm, suspect Francis Mears returned to the same Dunkin Donuts and upon entering the business an employee recognized Mears from the surveillance video. The employee then called 911 and when police arrived Mears was quickly arrested without further incident.

Francis Mears is 53 years-of-age and is from the 17xx block of Alter Street. Mears was arrested on November 29, 2014, and is charged with robbery and related offenses.

Today, Tuesday, December 2, 2014, at approximately 3:30 PM, the complainant, Aaron Lee 78 years old from the 1500 block of S 24th Street was last seen on Septa Route #7 bus at 22nd and Tasker Streets traveling northbound on 22nd Street towards Center City. Aaron suffers from dementia and requires medication.

Aaron is 5’7″, 170 lbs, bald, with a medium build, brown eyes, and dark complexion; last seen wearing gray/black hat, green jacket, black pants, navy blue sweatshirt and black sneakers.

On October 5 , 2014, at approximately 4:50 PM, the complainant, Nafisa Ross 15 years old was last seen at her residence on the 2500 block of Emerald Street.

Nafisa is 5’4″, 165lbs, with brown eyes, a medium brown complexion, and straight brown shoulder length hair; she was last seen wearing blue jeans, black hoody and a camouflage hoody.

Nafisa has runaway in the past and has been seen recently by family members, however, she has not returned home. Nafisa is known to frequent the area of Braddock and Tioga Streets as well as Jasper and Tioga Streets.

On Sunday, December 14, 2014, at approximately 6:00 PM, the complainant, Vito Maglio 69 year old male from the 2000 block of Gorman Street was last seen at Macaroni’s Restaurant Lounge located at 9315 Old Bustleton Avenue. Vito is 5’5”, 150lbs, with a medium build, brown eyes, and short gray hair; last seen wearing black pants, a black suit jacket and black shoes.

Vito suffers from several medical conditions requiring medication.

Suspects Kenneth Lowe and Tracey Perry Arrested for Multiple Robberies in the 14th and 35th Districts

On December 3, 2014, three robberies were committed at three commercial establishments within an eleven hour period and were all committed by an unknown female who was observed fleeing in a white pick-up truck.

On December 3, 2014, at 3:15 am, an unknown female entered a Wawa located at 7236 Germantown Avenue. After walking around for a short period of time, she approached the counter and inquired about several items. When she acted as she was making a purchase and when the employee opened the register, she leaned forward demanding money stating she was armed with a handgun. As she lifted her shirt showing a handgun on her hip. After the employee handed the suspect an undetermined amount of money, she fled the store in an unknown direction.

On December 3, 2014, at 7:30 am, an unknown female entered Rite Aid located at 6101 North Broad Street simulating she was armed with a handgun and fled the store after taking an undetermined amount of money from the register. The female exited the store and was last seen fleeing in a white pick-up truck.

On December 3, 2014, at 2:45 pm, the same female robbed a Dunkin Donuts located at 1325 East Washington Lane. A white pick-up was observed dropping off the female prior to the robbery. After the robbery the female flees and was last seen entering the same pick-up truck.

On December 9, 2014, police observed the pick-up being operated and was stopped at Olney & Ogontz Avenue. After investigating the driver, he was identified as the suspect who took part in two of the robberies along with the female committed on December 3, 2014 at a Rite Aid located at 6101 North Broad Street and Dunkin Donuts located at 1325 E Washington Lane.

A short time later the second suspect (female) was identified as Tracey Perry who is responsible for the same as above robberies and a an additional robbery at a Wawa located at 7236 Germantown Avenue.

Kenneth Lowe is 56 years-of-age and is from the 2XX block of Gwyneed Avenue in North Wales Pa. Lowe is charged with two (2) counts of Robbery and related offenses.

Tracey Perry is 44 years-of-age and is from the 11XX block of East Stafford Street. Perry is charged with three (3) counts of robbery and related offenses.

On Tuesday, December 16, 2014, at approximately 9:00 AM, the complainant, Carl Gaines 70 year old male was last seen at her residence on the 1100 block of N 63rd Street. Carl is 6’0”, 190 lbs, with a thin build, brown eyes, light brown complexion, close cropped brown/gray hair and a mustache; last seen wearing a black jacket, gray pants and a gray hat.

Carl suffers from several medical conditions and requires medication. Carl is known to frequent the area of 1100 Arch Street.

On Thursday, December 19, 2014, the complainant, Harold Heard 69 years old from the 1600 block of North 8th Street, was reported missing by a family member. The complainant has not been seen since he left his residence on October 14, 2014.

Harold is 5’9″, 160 lbs, with a thin build, brown eyes, a dark complexion, and short wavy gray hair and is missing the 2 fingers on his right hand. Harold was last seen wearing a white/black suit and a gray tie.

Harold suffers from a medical condition and requires medication.

Police Seek the Public’s Help in Identifing Male

On December 12, 2014, at approximately 6:00 PM, the complainant, an unidentified white male was admitted to Temple Hospital in critical condition. The complainant suffered from a choking incident while ingesting food, and has not regained consciousness. Hospital staff nor police have been able to identify this male, therefore, we are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying this male in an effort to locate his family.

Suspect Shawn Turner Arrested for Multiple Robberies in the 2nd, 5th and 25th Districts

The Philadelphia Police Department would like to thank the media and the public for their assistance in the arrest of suspect Shawn Turner who has been identified for multiple robberies.

On May 23, 2014, an anonymous tip was received identifying Turner as the suspect depicted in the surveillance video that was released to the media and air on local news stations. After an arrest warrant was issued, Turner was arrested on May 28, 2014,  for multiple robberies that occurred between May 5, 2014, and May 9, 2014.

These robberies occurred at the following locations:

Metro PCS located at 6820 Bustleton Avenue in Oxford Circle.
T-Mobile located at 6024 Ridge Avenue in Roxborough.
Metro PSC located at 540 Rising Sun Avenue in Hunting Park.

Shawn Turner is 18 years-of-age and is from the 2400 block of North 29th Street, Turner is charged with multiple robberies and related offenses.

Suspect Soo Seo Arrested for Multiple Robberies in the 2nd, 18th and 25th Districts

The Philadelphia Police Department has arrested the suspect who robbed Dayvis Food Market in FeltonVille, Lawndale and West Oak Lane.

On May 19, 2014, at 7:00 pm, an employee, a 23 year-old female, of Dayvis Food Market locate at 4764 Rorer Street was working as the cashier waiting on a customer when an unknown male entered the store pointing a handgun at her stating, “give me the money.” After the complainant gave the suspect an unknown amount of money from the register the suspect put the money in his pocket then fled the store on foot. Several customers chased the suspect from the market and was last seen entering a white Honda Accord then fled the area in an unknown direction.

On May 31, 2014, after investigating this robbery and two additional robberies at the Almonte Mini Market located at 456 Van Kirk Street on May 26, 2014, and the Serreta Grocery Store located at 7453 Walnut Street on May 28, 2014, suspect Soo Seo was identified as the suspect and was arrested on June 6, 2014, without further incident.

Soo Seo is 24 years-of-age and is from the 500 block of North Easton Road in Glenside Pa. Seo is charged multiple robberies and related offenses.
